Isaac’s Well
An initiative of:

Pastors’ Survey

Isaac’s Well is a proposed online meeting place where RBNet singles seeking marriage can find one another. We want to build it, and before we do we want your counsel and a rough headcount on how. Five quick questions, about two minutes. The role we’re proposing for elders is commending members in good standing, not matchmaking.

  • Five minutes of counsel
  • Your singles’ answers stay with the working group

Pastors' Mini-Survey

Questions marked * need an answer.

How many singles in your congregation would realistically use a vetted RBNet singles platform? (required)
Would you be willing to confirm (“commend”) members in good standing when they apply — a short form taking a few minutes per applicant? (required)
What role do you believe elders should play? (required)
Should pastors themselves have browsing access to the full directory, or only interact with their own members’ applications? (required)
Would you distribute the singles survey to your congregation?
(Optional) If you’re willing for us to follow up, leave your name, your church, and an email address

Only the working group sees this. It lets us come back to you about your counsel, and tells us which churches we have heard from. Your answers count the same either way.

Pass it along

The singles’ survey is the one that decides this. Here is a note you can forward to the singles in your congregation, in your words rather than ours. Edit it freely.

Our network wants to build Isaac’s Well: an online meeting place for Reformed Baptist singles who hope to marry, each one known and commended by their own church. Before they build it they are asking singles directly what it should be, and the answers are anonymous — they go to the working group and stay there, not to me. It takes 5 to 7 minutes: https://isaacswell.co/singles
